I was so happy that she won the French Open Women’s Finals.
And yeah, screw Nadal for winning the Men’s Finals and returning to the top. Booo!

because I need to wake up early to catch the French Open live on TNS2. >:)
.
It was 17 degrees outside this afternoon so I decided to go out for a jog. After a very short 10-minute jog, I found myself panting and my legs were so damn aching . Dammit. I had no choice but to head home. Ah wait. I dropped by the grocery store before heading home. LOL
I’m on 1116th comic strip right now. I must admit that this comics thingy is keeping me sane.
Me at the office on this beautiful Sunday afternoon. I need to be home by 4PM to catch the Federer-Murray match. Australian Open 2010 Men’s Finals, baby!
I promise, just eight more comic strips and I’ll hit the sack. Damn, it’s almost 1am. Monday morning it is.
I’ve been sitting in front of the TV practically the whole day watching some terrific tennis matches. And I really mean TERRIFIC matches. From the one-sided Isner-Murray match, to the boring-turned-exciting match of Karlovic and Nadal, to the epic battle between Cilic and del Potro, and of course the Wickmayer and Henin match – a match made in heaven.
Omigod, Henin is a genius. Good thing she decided to play tennis again.
The Australian Open is only being shown in Star Sports. One of the channels I decided to remove a few months back to lower my monthly Sky Cable bill. I thought all the tennis grand slams are being aired in Balls. But I was wrong. I had to ask Sky Cable to add Star Sports in my channel list again. Doing so means additional 150 pesos in my monthly bill. But that’s okay, it is still way below my old monthly bill of 800 pesos. One more thing, Star Sports is bundled with ESPN. The bad thing is I never tune in to that chanell. lolz
That’s all for now. The Henin and Wickmayer match is still in progress. I’m pretty sure I’ll being seeing more of Henin’s magical shots.
I’ve finished reading the 641st strip of Questionable Content. Isn’t that amazing?!
A hundred pages to go before I finish Grisham’s The Appeal. I guess, I need to buy a new one that I can read each time there’s no cable or internet connection. LOLZ
In other news, I paid Makati Med a good 3-hour visit this afternoon. Dammit, waiting there with other patients felt like forever. I hope that tomorrow would be the last time I set foot in that hospital. I love the Herb Chicken Sandwich from Seattle’s Best @ MMC, though. Hehehe.
I wonder why some people fancy breakfast in bed so much. I guess they haven’t tried reading webcomics in bed immediately after waking up in the morning. I think it is way cooler.
You guessed it right. Homeless Hipsters is the title of Questionable Content’s 275th strip. >:)
A hundred strips and still counting. Man, this is good.
Malapit na ang ATP world tour finals. Adik mode na ‘to.
and little brother’s kiddie party. para akong adik o. lolz
Why would I spend time with people who do nothing but beat the crap out of me? Good thing I’m learning.
In other news… Our team has won in the badminton finals last night. It was nice to pull off upset against the top-ranked team. Hahahaha. Though we’ve been celebrating our win like crazy, we are still thinking of celebrating it the right way – with good food. It looks like lunch is on my little brother. >:)
I’ve been farting like a mad cow all day. Dammit.
I’ll try not to visit Starbucks this week. And next week. And the week after next. How about the other coffee shops? Hmmm. Hahahaha.
One week before the Adidas King of the Road. I’m getting pretty excited. By the way, I have a practice run tomorrow at The Fort with my running buddies. Parang professional ang dating. Lolz
I have finished doing my laundry and I have ironed a week’s worth of office clothes.
I cooked chicken adobo this morning. It will be around probably until lunch time tomorrow.
Thanks to whoever discovered/invented/whatever-you-may-call-it Simethicone.
It’s not a question of whether I will be able to finish the 5-kilometer run or not. The real question is how long would it take me to complete it. I’m hoping that it would be under 30 minutes.

Naglunch ako with some sunny friends sa ebun sa greenbelt. Sarap ng food tapos mura pa. Medyo minadali namin ang pagkain dahil may isang mas mahalagang bagay kaming dapat gawin pagkatapos nun. Mahalaga daw. Lolz. Kasi pagkatapos ng lunch ay deretso kami sa Cafe Breton na kalapit lang din ng ebun para kumain ng iba’t ibang klaseng crepe.

Badminton leveling mamaya. So konting palo palo lang yun. Malamang walang sobrang pawis. Pagkatapos nun, may mga gagawin akong ka-shit-an sa buhay. May assignment akong kelangang gawin na deadline ay next week. Hay life. Tapos balak ko nang bumili ng washing machine ngayong weekend. Ayaw ko na kasing magpa-laundry. Mas ok maglaba ng ng sariling damit.
Basta ayaw ko ng weekend. Demit. Basta. Basta. Basta.
Body pain is killing me.
It’s not because of the three-hour badminton game last night. It’s bacause of the gym workout I had last Monday morning with a hyperactive trainer.
As I started with my day, I thought it would be just another boring Saturday. But I was wrong.
Though I got lots of school stuff to do, I found myself doing other things. Enjoyable things that is. Haha. At nine in the morning I was in an unknown gym trying to secure a membership. It took me less than ten minutes to close the deal. Then, I was off to Andok’s Manok for breakfast. Wahahaha. Sarap ng bistek tagalong dun. Pramis.
Then I took a cab (pedicab LOL) going to SM / Glorietta area. I bought some dress shirts and other stuff. Mukhang nagasgas nga ang credit card ko e. I spent 3 long hours in the mall because I had my pants altered. Tapos kasama na dun ang lunch.
Tapos tapos, may longsleeves sa Mossimo na WOW. Hahaha. But it goes with a very high price tag. Hindi practical e. Kaya, yun. Hintayin ko na lang birthday ko tapos yun ang hihingin kong gift. Hehe.
I got home a little past 1PM. Then I checked on my Facebook account. Dammit! Facebook is eating a big chunk of my time. After spending more than two hours searching and adding friends, I felt so tired and was dead to the world. I got up at around 6PM. Then it was Facebook time once again. Ugh!
I also had some productive activities, mind you. My place is now very VERY clean. Disinfected ang bawat sulok. Thanks to Domex. Hehehe.
Tapos nagluto din ako ng dinner. Yon nga lang. Hotdogs lang ang ulam. Hehe. Bukas, I will be cooking my famous adobo. Haha.
Mukhang boring pa din talaga ang araw. Gym na ako sa Monday and then badminton on Tuesday. Excited ang mokong.
Ayus ang stocks a. Up kanina ng almost 1% tapos malamang e up ulit bukas nang mataas. Hehehe. Wala lang. Sobrang up din kasi ang US stocks e. Cool.
Ang hindi lang cool e katawan ko. Sakit ng buong katawan ko e. Dahil sa kahahabol ng shuttlecock kahapon. Pero malamang next week e hindi na sasakit kasi sanay na ulit.
I think it would be best not to.
Anyways, congratulations to Roger. And good job, Andy. It was indeed a superb match. I’m looking forward to the US Open.
Need to read some nerdy stuff. Gonna catch up on tons of reading.
After attending the birthday party of Trek in Cavite, I caught a bus going back to Makati. As expected, the traffic was terrible. I was able to reach Ayala a little past eight.
While I was inside the bus I’d been thinking of a place where I could watch the Wimbledon Women’s Finals. Yeah, the Williams sisters again. National Sports Grill in Greenbelt came into my mind first.
So I walked briskly, thinking the championship match has already started. When I arrived at the said resto, I immediately asked one of the waiters the schedule of the match. He said he wasn’t sure but they have tuned-in to Star Sports awaiting the match.
I headed for the couch and was happily seated with the best view of the 6 x 5 ft. screen (I had to ask the crew the dimension of the screen so I can post it here. LOL).
Star Sports recapped the recent matches of the two finalists. With Venus having the more impressive run going to the finals.
And the match began.
Venus double faulted in her first game but was able to hold serve. Then, it was Serena’s turn to serve. She didn’t have a problem holding serve.
The sisters had a very impressive first set. Each holding serve until 6-6. But in the tie-break, Serena demolished her sister and pocketed the first set.
I just realized that I favored Venus. The moment Serena had her first mini-break, I was like “Oh Shit! Dammit!” Maybe because Venus is the defending champion and a place in the tennis history is at stake for her.
Then the second set started. During that time, I was trying to be positive and hoping that Venus would outplay her sister. But as the match progressed, Serena seemed to be getting better and better. Serena had three match points in the second set but Venus luckily saved all.
But on the fourth match point of Serena, Venus failed to save it. And the younger Williams took the Ladies’ crown.
I still admire Venus even though she has lost to her sister. She’s played a real good match. And another thing, she seldom shows her emotions. Even after being defeated in her favorite grand slam event, all you could get from her is a poker face (Lady Gaga, music please… Popopopopopopopoker face. LOL).
So congratulations to Serena. She did play a very nice game.
The next face off would be that of Federer and Roddick. As most of the tennis fanatics out there, I’m rooting for Fedex. Go Roger!!! I’m positive that you’ll break another record.
Today is excruciatingly hot but not as muggy as it was two days ago. The sky is blue with some wispy clouds that move slowly across. The weather would be the same in the days to come. The PAGASA says so.
The fantastic air conditioner becomes handy during this time of the year. It gives me temporary relief from the sweltering heat outside and allows me to take a nap in the afternoon. The only problem is when I get out of the room or when I shut off the air conditioner. The sudden change in temperature usually gives me headache or colds or both. So sometimes I just content myself with a small electric fan and a glass of water.
I’ve been reading a lot ever since I went back to the Philippines. Mostly detective and law-related novels. The current book I’m reading is Grisham’s The Rainmaker. It’s very entertaining and I’m really enjoying every page of it. Before this I’ve read The Pelican Brief. It was another great novel and I remember a part near the end when my heart was pounding like hell because of the intense scene. I’m just happy that I now genuinely enjoy reading thick books. I don’t see this new addiction fading in the coming months or years.
It’s rather cold and dark outside. I haven’t seen the sun since I woke up at around seven in the morning. This is kind of weird considering that it’s just mid April but it’s raining as though it’s August. Some news reports say that it has something to do with climate change. Others say that there’s just a low pressure area somewhere in Palawan.
I had breakfast of oatmeal. A large serving of it in a big bowl. I used soymilk instead of fresh milk and added some canned fruits. I bought a considerably large container of oatmeal last Monday to somehow stay healthy.
I haven’t visited the gym for almost two months now and I must admit that sometimes I feel my joints are becoming weak. Probably due to the fact that I seldom move around the house. Except, of course, when I’m babysitting one of my nephews.
When I finished eating breakfast, I brushed my teeth and headed straight to a barber shop near the hi-way. I decided to have my head shaved because I have grown tired of spending time taming my stubborn hair. And I didn’t want to waste my time looking for my small comb that disappears each time I need it. So there goes my hair. To the garbage bin – its appropriate place.
I went back to our house and had a nice warm shower, and moments later helped cook food for lunch.
I’m enjoying the snail’s pace kind of life I’m having right now. I know that it will not last long so I’m just making the most out of it. Once I get a new job, I am sure as hell that I will be busy as other IT people are.
Remember the entry I had a week ago? The one which says I was reading some ebooks about web development? Well, I have lost my drive and decided to transfer those files to my external hard drive. But mind you, I was able to read three quarters of the first ebook and half of the second. I won’t probably be spending time reading them for the next couple of weeks.
But I haven’t said goodbye to reading stuff completely. I’m actually reading a novel and I’m proud to say that I’ve finished reading more than half of it. I think I’ve found a new hobby. A very enjoyable one, for that matter.
Now shall I walk
or shall I ride?
“Ride,” Pleasure said:
“Walk,” Joy replied.

I set my alarm clock to 4:30AM to watch the BNP Paribas Open Semis. But unfortunately, it was not shown in any of the sports channels. Another bad news is… Federer was once again defeated by Murray. I like the two guys but I’d love to see Federer in the Finals against Nadal. Well, that’s not going to happen. It’s Murray who will be facing Nadal. I bet Murray will come out as the champion. Hahaha.
Damn, I just hate Nadal. LOL
How I wish I was in my room just watching the Australian Open. This sure is an exciting match.
I don’t know but I think I have become overly handsome or overly hunk. LOL
I went to the gym late in the afternoon today. Well, it’s always been like this for the past couple of days. I had my usual routine in the gym. Some treadmill, crunches, biceps exercise, more crunches, and others that I forgot how they are called.
After an hour of exercise, when I was on my last set of the biceps exercise, there’s this tattooed guy who was stretching some 2 meters away from where I was. And I noticed that he was looking at me. Scary. I immediately went to another machine and never looked back. Then he passed me by. He also went to another machine. He was still looking at me. I was really scared. I just went straight to the reception and got back my gym card and headed to the elevator.
Wahahaha. Really scary. Naalala ko si jems henry ching aka uber-homophobic guy. LOL
I was impressed. Really impressed.

I had the chance to watch the last few games of the Safina-Kuznetsova’s final match in the 2008 Toray Pan Pacific Open. Being a Safina fan and finding out that she’s up 1 set, I was really happy. And she went strong until the match point and won her 4th title this year. From rank 15 at the start of the year, she finished off rank 3. Kinda amazing.
Looking forward to seeing her get on to the top spot next year.
